A modern space in the traditional fishing village of Los Abrigos, Los Roques is like two restaurants in one and they certainly aren’t afraid to do things a bit differently. During the day, this restaurant goes by Café Los Roques and serves a relaxed menu, changing things up at night to serve the full, more formal list of dishes. All of the food here intends to highlight local products and techniques, but does so with a strong sense of modernity.
Since opening their doors in 2005 Los Roques has dominated the local restaurant scene and even made it into the prestigious Michelin Guide for Tenerife. The freshness of ingredients are second to none and the quality of each dish is apparent. Even when serving food as the cafê, more casual dishes like the spicy pork wrap, that could easily conceal a lazy mix of things, are made with care and the components are combined thoughtfully.
Despite being a place for fine dining, Los Roques maintains the costal feel of the town it’s in and welcomes guest without snobbery. Eating at Los Roques is all about the experience, from the stunning coastal views to the hand-made lighting, and of course, their outstanding cuisine. The staff at Los Roques was friendly and helpful, serving all types of guests, whether you are there for a formal date or have come in straight off of the beach.
